TJN in another global ranking of the top 50 influencers

From the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales’ (via their Economia magazine)

42. The Tax Justice Network
Few governments are unaffected by austerity. Deficit reduction requires more active tax collection. The increasingly global focus on getting everyone to pay the right amount of tax in the right place at the right time, has lent moral force to the TJN, which seems capable of annoying and delighting in equal measure.
"To annoy and delight." Just what we always set out to do.

We are sandwiched on this list between Lou Jiwei, Chairman of the China Investment Corporation (CIC,) at 41, and Angel Gurría, OECD Secretary-General, at 43. (Barack Obama might be miffed to come in at number 3, underneath Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Germany's Angela Merkel.)

Recently, three TJN officials (John Christensen, Richard Murphy and Nicholas Shaxson) as well as several of TJN's friends (including Richard Allen, Occupy and Uncut) were put in International Tax Review's Top 50.
