We have our beefs with Jeffrey Sachs, but here is something we'd quite agree with

Reporter: You don't subscribe to the Laffer Curve?

Sachs: You better believe, I don't, because history has shown what nonsense it is.

The Laffer curve absolutely does not apply to a tax on the rental value of land, where tax yield is proportional to tax rates throughout the rant 0% to 100%. The theory is bunkum.
